“I became aware of slavery in my family… on my father's side, I became aware of it while they were still slaves (...) Today, because we are striving for equality among people, we are considered criminals by them, and that’s why they treat us harshly. For example, in 2014, I was hung for an entire day, and my feet didn’t touch the ground. Can you imagine a pain greater than that?"
